Hands on Raku class, learn the basics of this Japanese ceramic technique.
Friday October 23, 3-6pm & Oct 24, 10-5 or until finished
Two day class covering history of Raku, glazing and traditional firing processes. Students will glaze/burnish 3 items on Friday afternoon. Saturday class will be held in Darby and will include firing glazed pieces in a Raku kiln . The reduction process will follow, leading to the completion of the students work.
Skills needed: Students need to have 3 bisque fired pieces completed before the first day.
